Quantum walks are paradigmatic models for building quantum algorithms, and for the study of transport problems that can be represented through a walk on a graph. In this talk we will review very basic concepts on quantum walks and show the differences between
classical random walks and their quantum version. For a quantum walk in directed graph, we show preliminary results over the Manhattan lattice.
