“Constraining Gravitationally Produced Dark Matter”

“Constraining Gravitationally Produced Dark Matter”

The nature of dark matter, which comprises a significant portion of the energy content of the universe, remains one of the fundamental questions of modern physics. The reason is the apparent absence of non-gravitational interactions with visible matter and with itself. Assuming that dark matter is composed of spinless particles, in this talk I will show how it is possible that the dark sector was populated through purely gravitational interactions during cosmic inflation and the subsequent reheating. I will also discuss current observational limits, and some prospects for future indirect detection, related to the structure formation studied from the Lyman-alpha forest, the production of large isocurvature perturbations, and most importantly, the generation of a stochastic gravitational wave background in the sensitivity range of existing and future gravitational wave observatories
